Dealing with the passing of a loved one can be an incredibly challenging experience, especially if that person held a significant place in our hearts. Recently, a video of an adorable puppy has been making the rounds on social media, showcasing just how deeply our animal friends can feel loss. The touching footage captures the pup residing in Bursa, Turkey, mourning the death of his owner and closest human companion, Mehmet Ihan.
Mehmet’s health deteriorated significantly in his final years, leaving him immobilized with paralysis. Despite the challenging circumstances, his bond with his adorable pet dog, Cesur, grew stronger as the loyal companion provided constant company and support to Mehmet. Their relationship took on a unique dimension due to Mehmet’s condition. In his last days in the hospital, Cesur exhibited an incredible display of devotion by refusing to eat.
Cesur wasn’t happy about being away from his long-time companion. Whenever Mehmet was hospitalized, Cesur would get anxious and down. It was especially hard on him the last time it happened. Cesur seemed to know that his owner’s time was running out. The faithful dog had been by Mehmet’s side for two years.
After Mehmet’s passing in the hospital, his son Ali became concerned about Cesur’s wellbeing as he refused to eat anything. Upon bringing Mehmet’s body home, Cesur appeared to understand what had happened and silently prepared to keep watch next to the coffin. It was heartbreaking to witness the love between them in those last few hours. Mehmet lived a full life until he was 79 years old.
On the day of the funeral, Cesur had a significant part to play. As the family and friends of Mehmet were carrying his body in a procession to the cemetery, the clever dog took the lead as if he comprehended the situation entirely. Cesur stayed by the coffin with a mournful look during the ceremony’s outset. He did not let anyone approach him until the burial of Mehmet’s father was over.
As time went by, Cesur appeared to be getting better, but Ali noticed something peculiar. The dog would vanish from the house for a few hours each day. Curiosity finally got the better of Ali, and he decided to follow Cesur to see where he was going. What he found out was touching beyond words. For the past five days, Cesur had been making his way to the final resting place of his beloved friend. Ali later learned from the cemetery workers that Cesur made it a point to pay his respects every morning at his father’s grave.
Ali is uncertain about the duration of the visits from the melancholic dog, but he has resolved to offer him ample time to bid farewell and come to terms with Mehmet’s departure. Ali acknowledges that Cesur has always been an exceptionally dignified creature and henceforth will reside with him.
