Baboon, an Afghan hound, has a passion for jumping and his owner, Salla Kuikka, finds it endearing to watch him prance during their daily walks. Kuikka is a photographer and has always wanted to capture Baboon’s midair leaps on camera. She fondly calls it the “jump of joy,” which has been Baboon’s favorite trick for years. After some time, Kuikka trained Baboon to jump on command. She then brought out her camera and began taking photos, which turned out to be incredible.
As the Baboon remained suspended in the air, its lengthy fur morphed into captivating and surreal forms, producing images that seemed to be from a different realm.
Baboon, the lovable pup, had no idea that he was about to become a dog model. However, he was thrilled to be included in whatever was happening around him. According to Kuikka, Baboon is an energetic and enthusiastic pup who is always up for some fun and loves to be a part of everything.
The energetic dog is always jumping, not just during photo shoots. He enjoys any activity that involves movement, particularly jumping. However, after a long day of fun, he loves to snuggle up with his favorite people and relax. According to his owner, Kuikka, the dog’s favorite pastimes are those that involve action, but he also adores being silly and lying upside down next to or on top of his loved ones.
Kuikka cannot imagine her life without Baboon, who has been a great source of comfort for her after the loss of her other beloved pet, Saga. In Baboon’s company, it is difficult for Kuikka to remain sad for an extended period of time. Kuikka appreciates Baboon’s cheerful demeanor and his eagerness to engage in fun activities with her, regardless of the situation. According to Kuikka, Baboon’s playful and positive attitude has helped her deal with the situation and move forward.
