Last March 28, the HSMC teamed up with CWR to bust an illegal fighting operation situated in Wallace, South Carolina.
They captured a total of 122 cats meowing, but sadly had to put down 5 of them. Additionally, they rescued a weak female bull with 10 adorable puppies.
After a year of captivity and being fed only chicken feed, a strong-willed pit bull has been rescued from her kidnappers and reunited with her family.
As per the report by WBTW 13, back in December 2013, Nina Louise was taken away from the front yard of Bennettsville residents Northam and April Morris.
As the family sat down to catch up on the latest news, they were in utter disbelief when they came across a story that featured a dog who was rescued from a cockfighting bust in Marlboro County, South Carolina. The poor dog was severely undernourished and was saved with her ten adorable little puppies.
Carolina Waterfowl Rescue’s courageous team sprang into action to save over 100 roosters and one duck from their misery. In the midst of their rescue mission, they took extra care to ensure that Nina Louise and her adorable puppies received all the nourishment and affection they needed.
Nina Louise was warmly embraced for a considerable amount of time, as a result of her hard work and deserving efforts.
April Morris expressed in an interview with the local news that having their beloved dog, Nina Louise, back with them feels unreal and like a miracle. She also shared her concern that during the time Nina was missing, she may have been taken and used as a bait dog for dog fighting purposes.
The Morris household has graciously taken in a litter of sweet puppies from Nina Louise and will care for them until they find their forever homes. As a result, their current pit bull count has increased by 11, but they are happy to provide a loving environment for these little ones in the meantime.
