Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric has been linked with a surprising transfer to Inter Miami. Modric is rumored to be considering a move to the MLS with current teammates Messi, Busquets, and Alba all currently in Miami. The Croatian’s contract is set to expire in June 2024.
With less than a year remaining on his current deal with Carlo Ancelotti’s side, the 38-year-old has been linked with a move that would see him play alongside former Barcelona forward Lionel Messi. According to reports from The Dubai Times, co-owner David Beckham has praised the Croatian as a potential addition, given his limited game time for Los Blancos so far this season.
The biggest concern for Inter Miami is whether or not their salary cap would allow Modric to join the club. Messi, Jordi Alba, and Sergio Busquets all made the switch Stateside most recently and Gerardino Martino’s side have Luis Suarez.
