The Evening Star is an exceptional holiday home located in Red Cliff, Colorado that runs off-grid. With four bedrooms, six beds, and three bathrooms, it can provide comfortable accommodation for up to nine people. Its guests refer to it as the perfect representation of Colorado. Nestled on five acres of land amidst the Rocky Mountains at an elevation of 10,000 feet, this holiday home is equipped with a backup generator. It is an excellent location for hiking, biking, and traversing the Continental Divide and Colorado Trails. Ski Cooper ski resort is only two miles away, and activities like skiing, snowmobiling, and ATV riding can be quickly enjoyed in the surrounding area.
Nestled on 5 acres and bordering the beautiful White River National Forest, this timber-built house is the perfect base for all your Colorado adventures. With everything from fly-fishing and skiing to white water rafting and hiking right at your doorstep, you’ll never run out of things to do. The house is conveniently located near Vail, Buenavista, Copper Mountain, and Breckenridge, and just two miles north of Ski Cooper ski resort.
Featuring large wood beams throughout, the house is well-insulated and has plenty of windows to take in the stunning surroundings. It runs off-grid but boasts WIFI, all appliances (excluding a microwave), solar power, and a backup propane engine. Radiant floor heating and a wood-burning fireplace keep the space cozy in colder months, and the whole house is open for guests to explore (minus the garage).
Please note that due to the area’s location, cell service is not reliable. However, the house does have a landline and WIFI calling capabilities. Buena Vista, a charming town with plenty of shops and restaurants, is only 12 miles away.
The Continental Divide Trail/Colorado Trail runs just a few hundred meters from the property and connects via the Fiddler Trail. And if skiing is your thing, you won’t want to miss Ski Cooper, just three miles away, which features terrain options for all levels.
It’s important to note that the area experiences snowfall in winter, so an all-wheel drive or 4WD vehicle is recommended. However, snowplows clear driveways and roads for easy access. With so many activities to choose from, there’s no better place to stay for your Colorado vacation.
