After Sarah Melnicoff’s old dog was saved from treacherous river waters, she found a true hero in Bobby L’Heureux.
Today, my dear pet Carli was swept away by the strong currents of Mill Creek near Powerdam. Despite her efforts to stay afloat, she passed me by and disappeared. I searched for her while running along the creek towards the Tea Cup overlook, calling out her name as I went.
As I was about to take off my shoes and jump into the water to save her, a young man suddenly showed up and quickly stripped down to his boxers. Without any hesitation, he fearlessly leaped into the water and made his way towards her despite the precarious rocky terrain and powerful currents.
After a long search downstream, he eventually located Carli, who was struggling with arthritis and old age, causing her to tremble and feel exhausted. When he returned Carli to safety, she became emotional and grateful, even embracing him tightly and inquiring about his name. To express her gratitude for Bobby’s heroism, Sara opted to donate to his preferred non-profit organization as a way of paying it forward.
