Nadija, a passionate animal rescuer and fosterer at AnimalLuvr’s Dream Rescue, received a call about a small kitten that had been loitering around a local resident’s home. The poor little thing was in a terrible state, malnourished and covered in scabby crust on her face. Nadija quickly rushed to the scene, hoping to take the sickly feline to an emergency vet.
However, when they got there, the kitten was too timid and wouldn’t come close to them. She kept moving around, hiding in different spots, making it challenging for Nadija and her team to catch her.
I engaged in a game of tag for a brief while before opting to play a YouTube video of a mother cat meowing. Instantaneously, the kitten made her way towards me, meowing in response and appeared content. It is possible that the kitten mistook me for another feline or thought I was her mother calling out to her. Without delay, I picked her up and took her to the ER where she continued to knead and even snuggle up to me in the carrier.
Rue, the cute little kitten, had various health problems such as an upper respiratory infection and an eye infection. She also suffered from dehydration and digestive issues. The poor thing had to spend a night at the emergency room to get the necessary treatment. Even though she was in an unfamiliar place with strangers and feeling unwell, Rue kept kneading her paws as if she was content.
The following day, Rue’s spirits lifted as she began eating and taking her medication without any problem. Nadija, her friend, returned to take her to a foster home, which made Rue even more elated. According to Nadija, Rue was snuggling and playing again, which assured her that Rue was on the road to recovery.
Gradually, Rue became more receptive to the notion of residing in a cozy abode with others and having access to communal areas. As time passed, she no longer had any crust on her face, could breathe with ease, and had a significant increase in energy. She learned to enjoy playing with toys and became accustomed to the lavishness of indoor living. Consequently, Rue’s anxiety diminished as she started relaxing more.
Initially, Rue was an extremely introverted, bashful, and delicate kitten. The slightest sound or rapid motion would cause her to freeze or conceal herself. However, over time, Rue has gained her self-assurance and has transformed into a completely different feline. Nowadays, she loves to snooze in a basket filled with soft blankets. When she snuggles into it, she falls asleep in no time.
She loves running around the house, causing all sorts of mischief and playing with her foster kitten friends. Whenever she sees a toy, she pounces on it with her playful attitude.
One of Rue’s hobbies is finding the perfect sunny spot in the house to bask in. She has a special talent for it! Recently, she and her feline friend Ari, who is also a tuxedo cat, decided to cuddle up together and enjoy the warmth of the sunbeams. They even held paws while they soaked up the rays.
Rue, the once shy kitten, has now grown into a courageous and lively feline. She no longer feels the need to conceal herself and can be found playing joyfully with her cat companions, venturing around with her tail held up high. Nadija stated that Rue even snuggles with her on the couch and is full of energy. Witnessing Rue’s newfound confidence and carefree attitude after such a challenging beginning is truly heartwarming.
The adorable little kitty is all set to embark on a journey to search for a loving home where she can spend her days cuddling up with her new family.
