My Core is Sore: Testing Out Jennifer Aniston’s Ab Workout

While some people may enjoy keeping up with the latest celebrity gossip, including who they’re currently seeing and any drama with their former best friends, my personal preference is to read about their fitness routines, particularly when it comes to abdominal training.

I reached out to Leyon Azubuike, who is a certified trainer and the founder of Gloveworx, Jennifer Aniston’s personal trainer, to get an exclusive ab workout inspired by the actress herself. Leyon has crafted this workout to enhance your core strength and stability using rotational (rotational ball slams), anti-rotational (bird dog), and stability movements (planks).
As I started with the first exercise, a forearm plank, I could feel my abs shaking just within 15 seconds. Soon after, we moved onto the bird dog move, which personally happens to be one of my favorites, especially for anyone who experiences back pain. The workout then progressed to the powerful rotational ball slam, with light reps but making me feel the burn. After completing the first circuit for three rounds, my core was feeling the pressure. The second set of exercises was similar to the first, including the same movement patterns, but with different exercises.
